Not every bar labeled protein actually contains this much. Sometimes the packaging has a sporty design, but the protein content is not much more than in a regular dessert.
What to look for?
β
The amount of protein in one bar
A protein bar should contain a tangible portion of protein, not a symbolic 3-5 grams. The optimal option for a snack is approximately 12–20 g of protein per serving.
β
The ratio of BZH
In a protein bar, not only the number of grams of protein is important, but also its share in the total calorie content of the product.
According to the standards, a product is considered a source of protein if the protein provides at least 12% of its energy value. And to be labeled “high in protein”, this figure must be at least 20%.
β
Composition
The list of ingredients must include protein sources: milk or whey protein, casein, soy or other vegetable protein.

β
Sugar content
A high protein content does not make a bar balanced if it has a lot of added sugar. Check the nutritional value in full.
β
Additional benefits
Fiber helps make a snack more satisfying, and the convenient format allows you to take the bar on the go, to work or to the gym.
